Thirsty Jane Mixes Simple Red Cocktails On Better Kansas City

Another fun day with KCTV-5's Better Kansas City Host Kelly Jones!  This time, we celebrated a heart healthy life on Go Red For Women day and made lower calorie/lower alcohol red drinks.

Sparkle Berry

3 oz. cranberry juice cocktail, chilled (use diet or light for lower calories)
club soda, chilled
fresh berries of your choice

Put berries of your choice in a champagne glass.
Add cranberry juice.
Top off with club soda.

Slimgria

3 oz. red wine
freshly squeezed juice from 1/2 of an orange
low calorie lemon lime soda

Fill a highball glass with ice.
Add in red wine and fresh orange juice.
Top with your favorite low calorie lemon lime soda.

Skinny Pomagrita

1 1/2 oz. tequila
1 1/2 oz. pomegranate juice
low calorie lemon lime soda
wedge of lime

Shake tequila and pomegranate juice in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
Top with your favorite low calorie lemon lime soda.
Squeeze in a wedge of fresh lime juice.
