Refreshing Simple Cocktails for Spring

Ready to hit the patio with the warm spring weather surrounding you?  Tired of the same-old-same-old beer or wine? Try one of these simple cocktail recipes to bump your entertaining style up a notch without stress or breaking the bank.

Rum Rickey — easier than a Mojito and just as tasty, a “rickey” is made with any liquor, club soda and lime. Virgin Rickeys are great options for non-drinkers! Just sub a fruit juice for the alcohol!

2 ounces rum
4 ounces club soda
Juice from 1/2 lime

Add rum to highball glass.  Fill with ice. Add club soda and lime juice. Stir gently. Garnish with lime wedge if desired.

Paloma – THE drink to order in Mexico if you want to look like a local!  Sinfully simple, this is a perfect drink for a warm spring day outside with friends.

2 ounces tequila
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
4 ounces grapefruit soda

Add tequila and lime juice to a highball glass.  Fill with ice. Add soda and stir gently. Garnish with lime and cherry if desired.

Port Lemonade — A perfect drink for a first time mixer. Its gorgeous color and refreshing taste will make you look like a pro.

2 ounces ruby port
4 ounces lemonade

Add port to a highball glass.  Fill with ice. Add lemonade and stir.  Garnish with a lemon wheel if desired.
