Margarita #7: La Juana (Jolly Rancher in a Glass)

Remember the Tequila Teaser infusions? Today we break open the watermelon and make one of the most delicious Margaritas I’ve ever had. Literally, it was like drinking a melon flavored Jolly Rancher — the perfect balance of sweet and tart with a subtle melon undertone. My good friend and local cocktail historian, Joel Crown, invented this infusion and drink for me a few weeks ago. He didn’t give me exact proportions, so I made mine up! Experiment with the proportions to create a drink to your own taste.

La Juana

2 ounces watermelon infused tequila

1 ounce fresh lime juice

1/2 ounce agave nectar

Shake with ice and pour over ice in a double old fashioned glass.
