Killer Pina Colada

Do you ever wonder “what took me so long?” My guy and I have been vacationing on the island of Vieques in Puerto Rico for almost 7 years.  We’ve hit every beach, every restaurant, and yes, every bar (see my Rum Punch Diaries blog). While in college, I spent a summer sailing and loved it, but living thousands of miles from any major body of water haven’t set foot on a big boat since.  There are sailing charters in Vieques, but we never booked one.  Not sure why. Until yesterday. We finally took a trip aboard Marauder Sailing Charters.  Captain Nate and his crew member Jade were the best.  The sailing was perfect (of course the weather cooperated), the snorkeling trip off the edge of Sun Bay was outstanding.  How many shades of blue fish are there?!  Lunch was tasty.  I’ve never seen my family fight over pasta salad before. As a booze blogger though, I have to give the biggest thumbs up to the Killer Pina Coladas.  I’d share the recipe with you, but I’d have to kill you.  Plus, the rum combo is secret and even plying Capt. Nate with his own copy of Three Ingredient Cocktails didn’t get me the exact proportions, although I did get a bottle!  Plus, if you really want to have this little piece of heaven, you need to go visit Vieques and take a trip on the Marauder.  Well, friends, it’s breakfast on the island, and you know what that means….pour me another rum punch!  Cheers!
