Balls, Balls, Balls

It’s the holiday season, and that means a visit to the renown bakery of Pete Schweddy for some of his mouth-watering balls. If you can’t make it to Pete’s for a bite of his balls, then make your own! Thirsty Jane and friends converge each year for a candy making extravaganza. All of it is wonderful, but the balls always take center stage. Make Thirsty Jane’s Coconut Balls for your holiday gathering.

1/4 cup soft butter

14 oz. coconut

1 lb. powdered sugar

1 can sweetened condensed milk

Mix all ingredient together and form into balls. Place on waxed paper and chill in refrigerator.

24 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chopped

Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Dip balls into chocolate and let set up on waxed paper.
